Cleaner Frames. Original Evidence.
The first three inspection images, enhanced to 2,048 × 1,151 pixels. Compare each with the original at the same displayed size.
Preservation first. Local neural super-resolution—not a text-to-image redraw. Existing labels, the coolant sight glass, and the thin dipstick area use enlarged original pixels. Source texture is blended back to avoid an overly smoothed finish.
Fine texture is estimated, not recovered evidence. Do not infer new wear, cracks, markings, or fluid readings from the enhancement. Originals remain the reference.
Only D01–D03 are included. The original report and workbook have not been replaced; the remaining 49 images await approval.
Method and verification
Model: Upscayl standard 4× (Real-ESRGAN family), run locally on Apple GPU. The 854 × 480 source is upscaled by the neural model to 3,416 × 1,920, then resized once to 2,048 × 1,151. The delivered image uses 75% neural output and 25% Lanczos-enlarged source outside protected regions. No additional sharpening, text regeneration, inpainting, cropping, or scene reconstruction was used.
The marked protected regions are copied from a deterministic enlargement of the original, with feathering outside their boundaries. Pixel checks found zero differences from that source enlargement inside the protected regions. That test applies to those regions—not the entire enhanced image.
Full-frame comparisons and close crops were checked for moved or missing components, hose and belt routing, label changes, obvious halos, and excessive smoothing. Enhancement cannot establish details absent from the source. This pilot is for visual review, not a replacement maintenance reference.
Downloads are lossless PNG files. “100% pixels” displays the output at native size; scroll within the image to inspect it. “Show protected regions” reveals the original-pixel areas.
